FixedFloat alternative

FixedFloat is a well-known no-signup exchange with Lightning support. Its terms allow suspending orders for source-of-funds verification. Here is where Swap.bz is similar and where it differs.

Facts from public documentation · Last reviewed

FixedFloat (ff.io, since 2018) is a non-custodial automated exchange. Pricing is 0.5% + network fee on floating-rate orders and 1% + network fee on fixed-rate orders that lock the rate for 10 minutes. No registration is required at the order form.

Its terms of service state that orders whose funds are “clearly related to criminal activity” may be suspended pending source-of-funds information, with correspondence by e-mail. In March 2025 FixedFloat extended this to all funds traceable to eXch. Independent reviews also note that ~$28M was lost in two 2024 security incidents (covered by the operator) and that no .onion mirror is published.

Swap.bz uses the same no-account model and a comparable 0.5% Standard fee, and adds an optional 1% Private Swap route with extra hops. Swap.bz does not offer Lightning at the moment. Both services can pause a flagged deposit under partner AML rules — no instant exchange can honestly promise otherwise.

Why people look for an alternative

  • Flagged orders require an e-mail source-of-funds process; users report ID + video requests in those cases.
  • Two security incidents in 2024 (~$28M, covered by the operator).
  • Swap.bz adds a Private Swap (1%) option and a Telegram-native flow for the same 0.5% base fee.

Where FixedFloat may still fit
