Terms of Service

Swap.bz is a non-custodial software interface (website, embeddable widget and Telegram bot) that displays live quotes and routes your order to third-party liquidity providers or to the THORChain protocol. Swap.bz is not an exchange, broker, custodian, money transmitter or party to your swap: each swap is executed by the provider or protocol you send funds to. We never hold your assets, private keys or balances.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to use crypto-asset services where you live. You represent that you are not a sanctioned person, do not act for one, and do not access Swap.bz from a jurisdiction where its use is unlawful or subject to comprehensive sanctions. You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax and reporting obligations.

You alone control the wallets you send from and receive to. Swap.bz cannot access, recover, reverse or redirect funds. Sending the wrong asset or network, a wrong or mistyped address, a wrong amount, an expired deposit, or funds from an exchange account are user errors that Swap.bz cannot undo and is not liable for. Your order ID is your only reference: keep it.

Swap.bz earns a service fee already included in the quoted receive amount: 0.5% on Standard, 1% on Private, 1% on the THORChain route (an affiliate fee written into the transaction memo and paid by the protocol). Network (miner/gas) fees, provider spreads and slippage are separate and reflected in the quote. Nothing is added after you confirm. Fees may change; the fee shown at quote time applies.

A quote is an estimate valid for the time shown. The final amount depends on the deposit being seen on-chain within that window, for the exact amount and asset, with any required memo or tag. Rates can be re-priced if the deposit is late, partial, over the limit or below the minimum; late or invalid deposits may be refunded minus network fees or, for amounts below network cost, may not be recoverable. Timing estimates are indicative, not guaranteed.

The THORChain route is executed entirely by THORChain, a decentralised protocol that Swap.bz does not operate, control or guarantee. Swap.bz only computes a quote and a memo. You build and broadcast the transaction yourself; a missing or altered memo, a deposit below the protocol minimum, a deposit after the quote expiry, or a deposit from an address you do not control can result in irreversible loss. Refunds, when they occur, are performed by the protocol to the sending address (or to the optional refund address where the memo allows it), minus fees. Chains may be paused by the network. "No KYC / no AML" describes the protocol: Swap.bz makes no representation about your legal obligations.

Crypto-assets are volatile and transactions are irreversible. Delays, congestion, chain reorganisations, protocol or smart-contract bugs, halted chains, provider outages, price movements and slippage between quote and execution are inherent risks that you accept. Private Swap improves unlinkability but does not guarantee anonymity and is not a mixer.

Swap.bz never requests identity documents. On Standard and Private, third-party liquidity providers may apply automated screening and pause, refuse or refund a deposit they flag, and may require information before releasing it; Swap.bz relays but does not decide these outcomes. The THORChain route involves no such intermediary. Any illegal activity — including laundering proceeds of crime, sanctions evasion, fraud or financing of terrorism — is prohibited and may be reported where the law requires.

Swap.bz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swap.bz, its operators and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or lost assets, nor for the acts, omissions, solvency or downtime of liquidity providers, blockchains, protocols, wallets or Telegram. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the service fee Swap.bz earned on the affected order.

You agree to indemnify and hold Swap.bz harmless from any claim, loss, liability or expense arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or the funds you send.

Quotes, comparisons, guides, blog posts, glossary entries and bot messages are general information, not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Pair pages and statistics are informational and may be delayed or inaccurate.

The Telegram bot is subject to these terms and to Telegram's own terms; it is provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable. The affiliate program pays a share of Swap.bz fees on eligible completed swaps as displayed in the bot, in the asset and above the minimum stated there. Self-referrals, fraud, spam, misleading promotion or abuse void commissions; Swap.bz may adjust, suspend or end the program and unpaid balances at its discretion, and does not guarantee any earnings.

You may not use Swap.bz for unlawful purposes, to evade sanctions, to scrape or overload the service, to bypass rate limits, or to embed the widget in a misleading way. Swap.bz may refuse, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, route, pair or mode at any time without notice.

If an order cannot be completed, the provider or protocol returns the deposit (same asset and network, minus network fees) to the refund address you entered or, on THORChain, to the sending address. Refund timing depends on the third party; support can escalate with your order ID but cannot compel or accelerate a refund. Amounts below network cost may be lost. Completed orders cannot be reversed.

Swap.bz may update these terms at any time; the version published at swap.bz/terms when you create an order applies to that order. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. The English version prevails over translations.
