On-chain basics
Chain reorganisation (reorg)
A reorg happens when the network replaces recent blocks with a longer competing chain, potentially dropping transactions that were in the replaced blocks.
Rare and shallow on major chains, but the reason exchanges do not act on zero-confirmation deposits.
On Swap.bz
Swap.bz waits for the required confirmations before exchanging — a small delay that protects both sides.
