BTC and XMR confirmations

Fast chains do not apply on both legs. The live quote still shows the amount before you send.

Solana or Tron deposits can confirm in seconds. Bitcoin’s block time is about 10 minutes. Monero payouts on Swap.bz typically wait for about 10 confirmations — often around 20 minutes on the XMR leg alone. A Standard BTC→XMR swap therefore commonly lands in the 20–40 minute range.

Congestion and fee markets add variance. A low Bitcoin fee can sit in the mempool. Extra Monero confirmations after a reorg risk are not “Swap.bz being slow”; they are how those ledgers settle.

Private Swap (1%) adds hops and usually 15–45 minutes. It does not skip Bitcoin or Monero rules. Standard (0.5%) already pays native XMR — the receive chain hides amounts and addresses by default.

What to do

  1. 1.Treat the widget time as an estimate, not a timer you can sue over.
  2. 2.Pay a Bitcoin fee your wallet marks as reasonable if you care about the first confirmation.
  3. 3.Receive XMR only at a 4… or 8… Monero address — never bc1 or 0x.
  4. 4.Track the order; do not re-send BTC because the XMR leg is still confirming.

Exchange XMR deposits may be closed. Prefer Cake, Feather, or official GUI/CLI.

Private Swap is extra hops, not a confirmation shortcut.

A refund, if needed, is on the deposit asset — BTC back to a BTC address, not “XMR instead”.
