Swap flow
Non-custodial
A non-custodial service never holds your balance: funds move from your wallet to a one-time deposit address and out to your receive wallet within a single order.
There is no account balance to hack, freeze or withdraw from. The trade-off is that you must enter the correct receive address yourself; the service cannot “return it to your account” because there is none.
On Swap.bz
Swap.bz is non-custodial. Orders that cannot complete are refunded to the refund address you provided.

Custodial exchange
A custodial exchange holds your coins in accounts it controls; you trade balances inside the platform and withdraw later.
Deposit address
The deposit address is the one-time address an exchange generates for your order; sending there starts the swap.
Refund address
The refund address is where the exchange returns your deposit if the swap cannot be completed.
