Mempool
The mempool is the waiting room of unconfirmed transactions on a node; miners pick the highest-fee ones first.
A deposit stuck in the mempool with a low fee delays the swap. Wallets with RBF or CPFP let you bump the fee.

If your BTC deposit is visible but unconfirmed for long, the order simply waits; it is not lost.
