Address checksum

A checksum is built-in redundancy in an address format that lets software detect typos before funds are sent.

Bitcoin bech32, Ethereum EIP-55 capitalisation and Monero’s base58 all carry checksums. Validation catches most errors but not a valid address that belongs to someone else.

On Swap.bz

The widget and the address checker verify checksums and formats per asset.
