Short answer
Swap.bz shows a service fee in the quote before you send:

- Private — 1% (extra hops, often via Monero)
- THORChain — 1% (decentralised route: no company in the middle, no AML screening, nothing to freeze)
Network fees on the send and receive chains are extra and depend on congestion.
Standard vs Private vs THORChain
Standard (0.5%)
Best when you want the clearer cost and a more direct route. Fast pairs (for example many stablecoin legs) can finish in minutes after detection; BTC and XMR wait on confirmations.
Private (1%)
Optional mode for multi-hop routing to reduce a simple on-chain link between deposit and payout wallets. Typical time is longer (often roughly 15–45 minutes). It is not a mixer and does not make funds “untraceable.”
THORChain (1%)
Your coins go from your own wallet to a THORChain vault with a memo; on-chain liquidity pools do the swap and the network pays your address. No partner, so no AML screening and nothing anyone can freeze — failed swaps are refunded to the sending address by the protocol. The 1% is a THORChain affiliate fee written into the memo; the quote also shows the outbound network fee and the expected slippage.
